Conservatives set to welcome youngest Cabinet member
Cllr Chishti in line for role alongside existing Medway Council Cabinet members

Cllr Rehman Chishti looks set to become the youngest Conservative Cabinet member on Medway Council, as portfolio holder for Community Safety and Enforcement.

Cllr Chishti was amongst the nine councillors Conservative Group Leader Cllr Rodney Chambers will appoint if elected to continue the post of Leader of Medway Council at the Annual Meeting of Medway Council on Wednesday 23rd May.

Also in line for Cabinet positions are Gillingham and Rainham Councillors Howard Doe (Community Services) and Rodney Chambers (Leader).

Membership of the Committees will also be formally agreed at the Council meeting, with all four new Gillingham and Rainham Conservative Councillors expecting to find their way onto multiple committees.
