Gillingham South is a mainly residential area south of the High Street, constituting terraced, semi and fully detached housing.
The main features of this ward include the High Street, railway station and of course Priestfield stadium, home of the Gills.

The ward consists of areas north of the A2, east of Marlborough Road, west of Woodlands Road and south of the railway line.
