Gillingham & Rainham Constituency will be the new name of the UK Parliament constituency of Gillingham after its expansion from the next general election. It has an electorate of approximately 71,539 and spans eight wards of Medway Council.
We have Councillors and Activists active right accross the constituency right now. If you would like to contact your local representatives, find out who they are by using the links to the Wards on the right.
Since its creation in 1918, the constituency has had four Conservative MPs lasting 74 years:
1918 - 1929: Sir Gerald Fitzroy Hohler
1929 - 1945: Sir Robert Vaughan Gower
1950 - 1983: Sir Frederick Burden
1983 - 1997: James Couchman
And in the last general election we lost out by just 254 votes.
We are the Conservative Party's number one target seat and with your help, starting now, we can win the constituency back for a strong, energetic and hard-working representative.
